Summary
Reporting to the Interlibrary Loan & Digital Services Unit Supervisor, the Part-time Digital Services Assistant is responsible for contributing to the workflow of resource sharing and digital delivery. Working with a team, the role is responsible for digitizing library materials. Part-time schedules vary depending on individual availabilities and organizational needs, with a minimum of ten hours per week and a maximum of eighteen hours per week. CRL operates during standard business hours from 9 am to 5 pm CST, Monday through Friday. Recognized Holidays and other closures are paid.

Responsibilities
- Operates high-volume microfilm scanner
- Uses post-scanning software to crop, rotate, and adjust brightness as necessary.
- Uses OCR software to identify text, adjust bounding boxes as necessary, and output files
- Organizes images and writing files within network storage
- Communicates with the Interlibrary Loan & Digital Services Unit Supervisor and team on workflow related questions
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and/or any combination of productivity programs applicable to position requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate production records
- Knowledge of digital delivery workflows
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a diverse working environment
- Reliable and communicative regarding work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with post processing digital images
- Current enrollment or completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma program
- Completion of programs related to History, English or Library studies
- Experience or familiarity working with Libraries and other related non-profit organizations
